Mirjam Varik (1990) studied photography at the Tartu Art College and as an exchange student at the University of Art and Design Linz. She later graduated from the Graphic Design Department and the Contemporary Art Master’s program at the Estonian Academy of Arts.

In her artistic practice, Varik articulates seemingly insignificant moments that nonetheless have a lasting impact on human development. Through photography, video and installation, she explores childhood experiences and identity in a narrative manner, focusing on memories, places and phenomena.
