Group exhibition Kõpu biennale at Kõpu Rahvamaja 29.06–13.07.2026. 
 

Exhibition explore's fragility, breaking points, and the relationship between people and their surrounding environment. Visitors will have the opportunity to experience contemporary art alongside historic architecture. The exhibition will take place in a former Orthodox church-school building constructed in 1908 and protected as a heritage site.

The island’s seemingly idyllic landscape conceals stories of loneliness and belonging, strength and vulnerability. These are the themes explored by the participating artists in their works. The exhibition has also been inspired by Tõnu Õnnepalu’s descriptions of Kõpu as a place where light and darkness, love and loneliness meet.
